Developed in response to European military requirements, the Archon represents the ideal balance between protection, weight, and comfort for today’s combat scenarios. While peer adversaries increasingly field advanced tungsten-cored threats such as M995, 5.45mm 7N24, 7N39, and next-generation 5.8mm AP rounds, most Level IV plates were designed around yesterday’s threats.
The Archon delivers comprehensive protection from modern intermediate-caliber AP threats while maintaining an exceptionally light weight. Built for those who need assured protection from 5.56mm, 5.45mm, and 5.8mm tungsten-cored threats without the weight penalty of heavy-duty Level IV+ plates like the Colossus.
The Archon is the culmination of focused engineering: Maximizing protection from the threats you’re most likely to face, while keeping weight at the absolute minimum. By optimizing for intermediate-caliber tungsten threats rather than over engineering for every possible threat, we’ve created a plate that delivers exactly what modern warfighters need – nothing more, nothing less.

The Archon plate is multi-hit capable against the below:
M2AP:
.30-06 M2 AP at over 2880 fpss.
Advanced 5.56mm AP:
5.56x45mm M995 at over 3400 fps. Also resistant to 5.56mm Swiss P AP, Ruag AP TC, and more.
Advanced 5.45mm AP:
5.45x39mm 7N24, 7N39, and similar tungsten-cored threats.
All lesser threats:
All lesser threats such as M855A1, M80, 7.62x54mmR B-32 API, etc.
Most importantly, the Archon armor plate is optimized for the most common AP threats in modern conflict, and tomorrow’s conflicts: Intermediate-caliber tungsten-cored projectiles.
Note: For assured protection from heavy tungsten threats such as M993 and Swiss P AP, we recommend the Colossus.
